Schools Programme

Our Schools Programme is a 6-8 week coach-led initiative designed to introduce pupils to badminton through a fun, inclusive and engaging learning experience.

Delivered by BWF-qualified coaches, the programme helps pupils develop fundamental badminton skills while promoting teamwork, confidence and enjoyment of physical activity.

Schools participating in the programme will have the opportunity to attend a badminton festival alongside other schools. These festivals provide a lively and supportive environment where pupils can develop their skills, build confidence and interact with pupils from different schools.

Each festival includes a range of badminton activities and good relations workshops that encourage respect, cooperation and positive interactions.

School Affiliation Benefits

To take part in our Schools Programme, your school must be affiliated with Ulster Badminton.

Following completion of the programme, affiliated schools can:

Have up to three teachers complete the BWF Shuttle Time Teacher Course
Continue delivering badminton within the school independently
Access support and resources from Ulster Badminton
Compete in Ulster Schools Competitions
Enter the Badminton Ireland All 32 Schools Competition
