    Swedish Youth Games 2023

Congratulations to the U13 Irish team who won a Bronze medal at the Team event of the Swedish Youth Games!

After a tight losses in their morning opening match, 4-2, against Finland, the team bounced back to have a great 4-2 win against Scotland in their afternoon game. The evening match was against a strong Solrod Strand Denmark team, who took a few of the crucial match to win 4-2. Overall the Team finished 3rd in the standings and took home a bronze Medal!

Louise Kearon (Alpha BC) & Alex McAuley (Raphoe BC) were the 2 players from Ulster on the team and had a great 3 set win over Scotland in the Girls doubles in the individual event to reach the Quarter Finals, losing out to the eventual winners from France.

Carol Joy had a great Singles event reaching the final of the Girls singles losing out in 2 tight sets to France.

A Great experience for all the team to play in an International event in a different country. A extra motivational push for the players for the remainder of the season & to play more International events!
