Although not a Paralympic Sport the number of people with disabilities playing badminton in Northern Ireland has grown dramatically over the last 4 years.
Players are always welcome to become members of their local clubs but in addition to this a disability badminton club has been established in Lisburn. The Pan-Disability Lisburn Badminton Club is supported by Ulster Badminton and meets on a weekly basis at the National Badminton Centre. The club is open to all ages and abilities and anyone with a disability who is interested in badminton is welcome to come along and join.
Players from the club compete and travel to a range of competitions including the 4 Nations Disabled Championships, European Disabled Championships and World Disabled Championships.
