    Updated Covid-19 Regulations


    The latest announcement from the NI Executive on Covid-19 Restrictions for the next 6 weeks will have the following impact on Badminton Activity in Northern Ireland:

    From 00:01 26th December 2020 for 6 weeks the following restrictions will be in place:

    •   All badminton activity including Competition, Clubs, Leagues, Performance Programme training and 1-1 individual Coaching is suspended.  Elite Level athletes, signed off from Sport Northern Ireland, can continue to train between 6am-8pm.

    The regulations introduced on 26th December 2020 are scheduled for 6 weeks, however the NI Executive will review them after 4 weeks, therefore Ulster Badminton will continue to monitor and review the situation on an ongoing basis and will communicate additional updates as they arise.

    A reminder that the current Restrictions for Badminton, which run until 25th December 00:00 are: 

    •   All badminton activity including Competition, Clubs, Leagues & Performance Programme training is suspended, excluding Elite Level & 1-1 Individual Coaching sessions.
    •  Individual coaching sessions can take place in an indoor setting, not from the same household, provided the participants do not come in to contact, follow facility guidelines & the  BI Return to Badminton Guidelines. A coach must hold a BWF Shuttle Time or BWF Coaching Qualification.
