Performance/Commitment Pathway

Once talent has been sourced, the Performance and Commitment Pathway (PCP) will provide a coherent player pathway.

The PCP is defined as:

“a player pathway that places the emphasis on enjoyment, social interaction, fitness, skill development and competition. The PCP is populated by players selected on the basis of giftedness, capacity to learn and commitment to sustained periods of practice and competition”.

Places on the PCP are offered following a successful review and then invitation. Staying on the PCP is dependent upon maintaining:

  • progress
  • commitment to training
  • commitment to competition

Players who do not maintain the required standards can be retained within the sport by moving across to the Club Pathway.

The PCP is divided into 3 progressive stages: Raw, Developing and High Performance. Progress up the pathway is dependent upon being assessed favourably against specified criteria.
