Ulster U13, U17 &C Grade- Preview!

The Ulster U13, U17 and C grade events are taking place this weekend at Lisburn Racquet’s Club with a total of 95 players competing over the 3 tournaments.2017 Ulster Logo

Dublin’s Dylan Noble is the Top seed in the U13 Boys singles with Eoghan Cooney (taking the No. 2 seed. The boys will team up in the Boys Doubles as No.1 seed and potentially fight for the title against No 2 Seeds  Mark Bolger & Karl McLoughlin from Galway.

Ulster’s Paige Woods is the top seed in the girls singles with Siofra Flynn the second seed in this event. The girls doubles will be played over a round robin event consisting of 3 pairs.

The Singles top seeds have teamed up to take the No1 seed in the Mixed Doubles, with the singles No.2 Seeds are partnered to take the 2nd seed spot.

U13 Draw- Here

The U17 event sees Daniel O’Meara, Sean Patrick  Laureta, Michael Staunton & Peter McDonald taking the 1-3/4 seeds respectively. This should shape up to be a competitive event with other strong players floating in the draw.

Picture2Girls singles sees Orla Flynn as the top seed with Alexandra Troy as 2nd seed, with the an unseeded Sophie Noble looking to upset the seeds in the top half of the draw.

The top 2 seeds in the Girls singles are partnered together for the girls doubles are the top seeds with Kerry Fallon & Megan McLoughlin seeded 2nd looking to progress to the latter stages of the competition.

Alexandra Troy and Michael Staunton are the top seeds in the mixed doubles with 2nd – 3/4 Seeds Daniel O’Meara/Orla Flynn, Jack Armstrong/Sophie Noble, Peter McDonald/Kerry Fallon all strong partnerships, which makes for an interesting Mixed event.

U17 Draw- Here

The C Grade event see’s some of the old guard and a mixture of the youngsters in the Men’s singles with the ladies singles being contested with 4 players in a group round robin format…. Difficult to choose a winner!Ulster C Grade 3D (2)

The Women’s doubles will also be played as a round robin event with the top 4 pairs taking the Gold, Silver & bronze positions.

The men’s doubles sees the young partnership of Connor Galway and Matthew Rob at the top of the draw with the older experienced duo of William Wilton& Kyle McWhirter the second seeds.

Matthew Robb is again the top seed in the mixed doubles with partner Alex Chan Taylor and Chris Gibson & Megan Ferguson the 2nd seeds.
